Product Variations

A product may come in multiple sizes, different colors, styles, flavors, etc. Instead of creating a single product for each option, you can create a product variation which will include each of the different options.   

Variations can be created through the talech App or through the web on talech.com. You can create new variations for each product or use previously made variations on products as well.   

Creating a Variation from talech Register app  

1. Navigate to Dashboard > Back Office > Menu. 
2. Select the product for which you need to create a variation. An Edit Product window will appear. Swipe down and select Variations.

3. If you have already created variations, you will see a list here. If you haven’t yet created any variations or want to add a new variation, select Add in the upper right corner.   

 

4. Enter a variation name. 

Note: It is important to name the variations something that can easily be recognized.    The same variations can be used across multiple products.

5. Enter the different variation options. Once you are finished, select Save in the upper right corner.   

 

6. Use the Edit Price and Quantity button to modify Cost, Price, Item #, Barcode, and Quantity for each variation. Once you are finished, select Save. Then, select Save again.   

Creating a Variation From talech.com  

1. After logging in to talech.com, select Items > Variations from the left menu. 

 

2.  Select + New Variation Set in the top right.  
3. Enter a Variation Set name. 

Note: It is important to name the variations something that can easily be recognized.   The same variations can be used across multiple products.

 

4. In the Variation Options section, select +Add Option and enter an Option Name. Repeat this step for as many variation options that you need.  
5. Select Create Variation Set when done.
