The Epson TM-m30 printer supports either Bluetooth or Ethernet connection. Some models may also be equipped with a wireless option as well. Please note that although the wireless connection may work without incident, talech Support does not offer assistance in setting up the printer with this option.

To connect via Ethernet
- Remove the bottom cover underneath the printer
- Connect the power and ethernet cables to the printer
- Reinstall the bottom cover taking care to route the cables out through the provided slot(s)
- Note: The ethernet cable must be connected to the same network (I.E router) as your iPad.
- Load paper in the printer
- Power on the printer
- The IP address will print automatically about 10 seconds after powering the printer on. If it does not, make sure that ethernet is connected securely on the router and the printer. If it still does not print, hit the reset button located on the bottom of the printer.
- In the talech Register application, navigate to to Dashboard > Back Office > Settings > Printers
- Tap the "Auto Detect" button. talech will search for any new printers. Once found, the TM-m30 should appear under the same IP address that was printed in step 4.
If auto detect does not find the printer, you can manually create a printer by hitting the "+" button in the top right corner. Enter in the printer name (any text string is allowed, default is the IP address obtained in step 4 above) and enter the IP address exactly how it appeared on the sheet. Make sure to select the correct printer model in the drop-down field.
To connect via Bluetooth

- Connect the power to the printer
- Reinstall the bottom cover taking care to route the cables out through the provided slot
- Navigate to the iOS Settings application
- Select Bluetooth on the left hand side

- In "other devices" on your iPad screen you will see the TM-m30 printer. Tap on the printer name to pair. Once connected the device will show "Connected" and move to the 'My Devices' list.
- In the talech Register application, navigate to Dashboard > Back Office > Settings > Printers.
- Tap the "Auto Detect" button. talech will search for the printer. Once found, it will appear as "Available" and the printer is ready to be used.
Note: Although the device supports multiple interfaces, only 1 interface should be used. Do not attempt to pair the printer to one iPad while also using the iPad via the ethernet connection.
Also, due to the way Bluetooth is designed, the printer may only be used with 1 register when operated in Bluetooth mode.
