talech Register is available from the Apple App Store. If you’re using a version of talech Register from www.talech.com/download, you should download "talech Register" from the Apple App Store.
The App Store version has several benefits:
- You’re guaranteed to be on the most current version of talech Register
- No more re-downloading a new version every year when your old version expires
- It’s the official version supported by Apple
How to tell the difference:

Before you start:
- The following steps can be used to migrate talech Register 4.3.5 and above to the AppStore release. App versions below 4.3.5 are not able to carry out the migration:
- If your talech Register does NOT have the "Device Setting" field, you will need to download a newer version of talech Register from www.talech.com/download. Once you have a current version, you can continue with the migration process
- Make sure you have your Apple App Store login information.
- If you need to reset your Apple ID, you can click HERE to reset your password
- Update all iPads running talech Register in your store at the same time
- This process should only be done before or after business hours
When downloading the talech Register from the App Store and signing into your talech Register App, not all the settings will transfer over if you do not follow the process below.
***Do NOT delete your Enterprise talech Register before completing the transfer***
To transfer settings:
- Login as an admin to the Enterprise version of talech Register on device you want to migrate
- Navigate to: Back Office > Settings
- Tap “Device Name” and give it a unique name (ex: Register 1, BarReg1, Hostess, etc)
- Exit out of settings
- Close the talech app (To force-close, double tap the iPad home button in rapid succession and swipe up)
- Launch the App Store version of talech Register
- Login as an admin
- Navigate to: Back Office > Settings
- Tap “Device Name” and type the exact name used previously
- talech Register will notify you of a device matching the same name, asking if you’d like to copy over the settings
- Tap “OK”
- Allow a few moments for device settings to copy over
- Once the copy is complete, you can “View Detail” or select “I’m Done”
You’re all set. Your device's settings have been successfully transferred over. To avoid confusion, you should delete the enterprise version of talech Register.
Repeat these steps as necessary on each iPad to convert all talech Register from Enterprise to App Store.
