This article will go over some general questions in regards to talech Register as well as providing some answers to your inquiry.
Note : Retail accounts can load previous days transactions from the Orders > Closed view up to a few thousand. Restaurant accounts can only see the current business days orders.

Can I disable Manual Card Entry for certain employees? | No. Manual card entry can usually be disabled on the account as a whole at the processor level. Contact support@talech.com for assistance. |
Refunds:

How long do refunds take? | If the refund is performed the same day before settlement, the authorization will never process and will thus not be refunded as it will simply disappear from the cardholders account before it becomes a 'Posted' transaction. |
Can you do a return without receipt with a manual card entry? | Not at this time. Return without receipt requires the card to be present due to security precautions. |
How long from the date of a transaction can the order be refunded? | Typically 30-90 days depending on the policy of your credit card processor. Other orders in your account will refundable up to 6 months from the date the order is closed. |
Why can't I find or refund a closed order? | If the order is from more than 6 months ago, the order may not be accessible from the orders screen in the register application. If the order also does not appear on talech.com, this can be a result of a cloud-sync issue caused by poor network connectivity. |
Can I issue a partial refund? | Partial refunds are only possible by performing an exchange from a closed order. |

Can I refund the tip from an order? | The tip can only be refunded from an order by refunding the payment (and reopening the order if it was closed.) |

In what order will order tickets print? | Order tickets will print in the order of the list in your Printers Management screen in talech. The order of the list is not customizable at this time. |
Why do my sequential order numbers skip certain orders? | This can happen if an iPad is not refreshed after the setting is enabled on another iPad or more commonly when the iPad is offline during the creation of the order. The app must be able to reach the talech servers to set the sequence number of the order. |
Can you delete some or all of my open orders? |
talech can assist in clearing "Open Test Orders" before an Account goes Live. If the Merchant is Live and has Open Orders that are from testing or created by accident, they either need to be paid or deleted by the Merchant. If the Order has a partial payment then the Order needs to be paid off or refunded to be deleted. |
Why do I have so many open orders? |
Open orders are essentially created any time an order is saved. Only a payment in full constitutes a closed order. Unexpected open orders are typically caused when an order is saved automatically and not re-called and paid out. For example: |
