You can choose whether to have your customer sign on paper receipt or to sign directly on the iPad. This setting can only be adjusted within the application and is device specific. Meaning each iPad can have its own signature settings.
Changing the Signature Setting
1. From the Register, select Dashboard > Back Office > Settings. Make sure "General" is selected on the left > Scroll (on the right) to the sub-section "Signature and Tips" > Select "Customer Signature."
2. There are 3 options to choose from:
- Sign on Device.
- Sign on Paper (Print Merchant Copy)
- Sign on Paper (Print Merchant and Customer Copies)
3. Select the option that you wish. The selected choice will have a blue checkmark next to the option.
Skip Signature Setting
If you want to set an amount which will not require a signature, you can do so from the settings.
1. From the Register, select Dashboard > Back Office > Settings. Make sure "General" is selected on the left > Scroll (on the right) to the sub-section "Signature and Tips" > Select "Skip Signature."
2. Toggle "Skip Signature for Orders" on. If the slider is blue, it is turned on.
3. Enter the minimum value that is required for signatures under "Amount." For example, if $25 is entered then all orders under $25 will not require a signature.
