You can choose whether to have your customer sign on paper receipt or on the iPad. You need to set this up on talech Register. Go to the “Settings” to choose the preferred customer signature type.
Step 1: Tap on the three lines on the top left for the options bar and tap on “Settings” .
Step 2: Tap on “General”, then on “Customer Signature”
Step 3: Tap on “Sign on Device”
This will set signature on the iPad and can be changed later if needed. After the customer signs, you’ll have the option to print a copy of the receipt for them or email it to their given email address.
When cafés or drive-thru locations take payments, they commonly have minimum requirements for credit card signature. This is usually due to high traffic times of the day. This can be selected from the “Settings” area. To start:
Step 1: Tap on the three lines on the top left for the side bar and tap on “Settings”.
Step 2: Tap on “General” on the top left and locate “SIGNATURE AND TIPS” on the right. Then select the "Skip signature for orders under" option to turn it on.
Step 3 : Tap on the “Skip signature for orders” toggle to turn it on.
Step 4: Tap on the "Amount" field to edit the minimum requirement. Once filled in, tap on "Done".
When a customer makes a purchase below the minimum price, it will go directly to the print receipt screen. In this example, the minimum for a signature has been set to $8.00. A copy can be printed for the customer and it will return to the main register.
