When you want to see more detail on products being bought in and how many sold through during a certain time, you can find it in the “Inventory Log”. This gives you a comprehensive view of shipments coming in and when products are selling through. It will also give you detail on when products were manually added and removed from inventory.
Note: The Inventory Snapshot report is a snapshot in time of the inventory. This snapshot begins and ends at midnight in your local timezone. While the snapshot quantities as of midnight should match the next days current on-hand quantities shown on the 'Products' page or the register menu before any sales are conducted, comparing the values in the snapshot to other values is not recommended due to the nature of the snapshot reports cut-off time.
Step 1 : Select “Products” along the top and then “Inventory Log” along the panel on the left.
Step 2 : Click on the calendar on the top of the screen to choose the range. It can be “Last 7 Days”, “Last 30 Days” or a custom range.
This will give you a list of products from the chosen range with detail on the starting quantity, amount added, amount removed, sold, etc.
Step 4 : To see additional detail on activity for a specific product, click on the product listed.
An expanded page will come up with detail for each product as far as when items were added, removed or settings changed. You’ll also see how many of the products are on hold in the “Open” tab.
