Automatic gratuity allows you to apply an automatic service charge for large groups of guests.
Step 1: Enable automatic gratuity
Go to Settings->General and select Automatic Gratuity
Enable automatic gratuity, set the gratuity rate and the minimum number of guests before the gratuity is applied
Save your changes
Step 2: Applying gratuity
On a new order, you will notice a new field that allows you to enter the number of guests. If you add a number greater than the minimum, the automatic gratuity will be automatically applied to your order.
Step 3 (optional): Remove gratuity
You can swipe to delete gratuity from an order and override the default behavior
Step 4: View gratuity in Reports
You can view gratuity in the daily summary report on your talech Register or talech.com
Guest Count and Table Number Requirements
For the table number or guest count on orders, a separate requirement can be set for each of them. With the setting on, the field has to be filled in for the order to go on to the next step. You can turn the requirements on in the “Settings” area. To start :
1. Tap on the three lines on the top left and tap on "Settings".
2. Tap on "General" and look towards the bottom of the "REGISTER" section.
3. You'll see the option to "Require Table Name". Toggling this on will require the table field to be filled in on all orders.
4. You'll also see the option for "Require Guest Count". Toggling this will require the number of guests to be included in the order for it to be completed.
