Automatic gratuity allows you to apply an automatic service charge for specific number of guests.
Note: Automatic Gratuity is a premium feature and is only available to restaurants. To upgrade to premium, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact your sales rep.
Enabling Automatic Gratuity
1. From the register, go to Dashboard > Back Office > Settings.
2. Make sure "General" is selected (on the left) > Scroll to the sub-section "Order" > Select Automatic Gratuity.
Note: If you do not have premium, then automatic gratuity will not be seen.
3. Turn on Automatic Gratuity, set the rate, and enter the minimum number of guests to activate.
On a new order, you will notice a new field that allows you to enter the number of guests. If you add a number greater than the minimum, the automatic gratuity will be automatically applied to your order.
You can swipe to delete gratuity from an order and override the default gratuity.
View gratuity in Reports
You can view gratuity in the daily summary report on your talech Register or talech.com
