To have better visibility into what's in stock, the Sale Unit feature is great for seeing inventory available. This is done by creating a source product, like a keg, which will decrease based on product servings linked to the keg. You can sell various draft beers or wine glasses while still tracking exactly what's left in your keg. To start :
Step 1 : Tap on the three lines on the top left and then select "Menu".
Step 2 : With a keg of beer for example, you'll create a product for the total volume of the beverage. To start off, tap on existing product or on the "+" button at the top right to start a new one.
Step 3 : Enter the name for your source product and toggle "Track Qty." on to set a starting amount. The quantity is being set to 2 kegs for this example.
Step 4 : Tap on the blue conversion button on the bottom left, then choose the measure amount equaling one unit. In this example we're setting 1 Unit to be 1984 oz for a 15 gallon keg. Then tap on the Save folder on the top right to save the product.
Step 5: Add an additional product with its name and set it to "Bundle" type. This product will have the container for servings, like a 12 oz or 16 oz glass. This bundle will link the keg to the containers. Once set, you'll add variations for the servings.
Step 6: Tap on "Variations" and tap on the "+" button on the top right to add drink sizes. In this example we'll have a variation of 12oz, 16oz and 64oz.
Step 7: Enter the name of the variation, like "Drink Sizes" and fill in the sizes below by tapping on "Add New Option'. Then tap on the Save folder on the top right to save the options. For these variations, entries of 12 oz, 16 oz and 64 oz are being added.
Step 8: Choose the "Bundles" option to set the quantity of ounces to be poured with each serving from the keg.
Each drink size serving will be linked to the source, which is a keg. For each variation, tap in the search field and select the source product. In this example it's "Stowcastle Keg". Fill in the quantity to be assigned to each drink size. For example, the quantity will be set to 16 for 16oz and 64 for 64oz. Once the quantities are filled in, tap on the Save folder on the top right to save. Then save the entire product and return to the main register.
Step 9 : From the main menu, tap on the product and you'll see it deduct from the source product .
As the customer is paying, you'll see the keg shows a quantity of 2.
After the order is paid for, the servings will be deducted from the keg, leaving 1.97 in this example.
