Note: In order to edit existing or create new products, you must be an Admin or Owner on the account.
From the Register, go to Dashboard > Back Office > Menu
Either tap on an existing product to bring up the product details or press the + button to create a new product. For this example, we'll be creating a new product.
Note: When creating a new product, the only 2 required fields are Product Name and Category. Everything else is option.
Basic Product Details
Product Type |
The product type will signify 1 of the 3 different types of products. Regular, Bundle, or Assembly |
Category |
This will signify which category this product will appear within the Register |
Name |
Enter the product name. Each product name must be unique |
Short Name |
This is the short name that can be printed out on the kitchen receipt if the setting is enabled |
Description |
This gives a brief description of the item while in the Register. Long press to view the description and other details |
Cost + Price |
Cost is what the the business pays for the item. Price is what the customer pays for the item |
Markup |
Markup is a percentage markup on the cost. This will automatically apply a price |
Item Number |
Commonly referred to a SKU number, this is the products identification code. Each item number must be unique |
Barcode |
Commonly referred to a UPC. |
Track Quantity |
Enabling this setting will allow of inventory tracking of the particular item. |
Advanced Product Details
Tags |
This will show all created tags within the account. Here you can choose which tags apply to the product |
Bundle |
The Bundle section will only Apply when the Product Type is set to Bundle or Assembly. Here you would pick the product constituents that make up the bundle/assembly product |
Taxes |
Here you can select which taxes will apply to the product. This is used for product level taxes. Such as specific products needing to omit or enable a particular tax. |
Variations |
Here you will see a list of variations. Here you can enable certain product variations and edit the price and quantity of the different options. |
Modifiers |
Here you will see a list of all Add-ons and exclusions. |
