Creating and selling talech Gift Cards is fast, easy, and can be done from either the register or talech.com.
Creating Gift Cards:
From talech Register:
- Login with an account that allows for menu editing.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Back Office > Menu
- In the Products view, tap the + in the top right of the register
- Select Create a Gift Card
- Fill in the required fields
- Name - The name of the Gift Card button (Ex: Gift $15)
- Amount - The predetermined dollar amount value to activate or clear field to select variable amount determined at the time of purchase
- Category - The category in which the gift card button will appear. Most customers create a separate Gift Card category.
- Color - The color the gift card tile will appear in talech Register
- Then tap Save to create your gift card button
From talech.com:
- Login to talech.com and go to Products
- Select Gift Cards along the left side and click the + button
- Fill in the required fields
- Name - The name of the Gift Card button (Ex: Gift $15)
- Amount -The predetermined dollar amount value to activate or clear field to select variable amount determined at the time of purchase.
- Category - The category in which the gift card button will appear. Most customers create a separate Gift Card category.
- Color - The color the gift card tile will appear in talech Register
- Click the Save button
Selling Digital Gift Cards (on iPad):
- Ring up a transaction that includes one (or more) of your Gift Card products
- Process a payment and offer a receipt as you would for any transaction
- Once the complete payment is tendered, you will be automatically brought to the gift card activation screen
- You can activate a physical gift card by swiping the gift card to your gift card reader
(to configure your gift card reader, click HERE) - You can optionally send a customer a digital gift cards (only an email is required)
- You can activate a physical gift card by swiping the gift card to your gift card reader
- Once the gift card is sent, you can print or skip a confirmation receipt
