Devices Include - Poynt P61, Moby M70
Due to the limited space on portrait devices, there is not enough space to show the room layout of tables and obstacles. Instead, there will be a list of all rooms and tables. It will show tables that are open, seated, overdue, and more.
Room Overview
After selecting the Table Layout section, there will be a list of created rooms. From here you select a specific room, edit the existing rooms, add a new room, start an order, or refresh the order view.
Room Layout
After selecting a Room, you will see the following:
- All Available Tables
- Seated tables
- Tables that are past the set Warning Time
- Tables that are past the set Over Time
- A table summary which states the number of each table in the above states
In addition to what is listed above, you can also create new tables, edit existing tables, create orders, and refresh the table view.
Selecting a table
Selecting a table will complete one of the following actions
- After selecting an open table, there will be a prompt to start a new order. Here you can set the number of guests, whether the order will be "Dine In" or "To Go," or if there are any order notes
- After selecting a seated table, you will be taken to the Register with the order selected.
Devices Include - Moby M100, Moby M120
Since these devices are much larger, Table Layout will include the layout of tables and obstacles, similar to iOS. However, these devices also support Portrait mode above if desired.

Differences between Table Layout on the iPad and on Android Devices
Here are a few notable differences across the devices
Customers - On Android, you cannot attach a customer prior to starting the order. On the iPad, after selecting a table you can search for an existing, or add a new customer to the order prior to pressing "Start Order."
We are planning on adding this functionality down the road. However, customers can be added normally after starting the order.
Table Creation - Unlike in iOS, the table name/number is not automatically generated. When creating a table within a room, you must enter the table name manually.
Custom Table Name - Previously we have supported Custom Table Names to be entered via the open order. Now when selecting the Table field, a list of tables will appear. You must select one of these tables to continue.
Table Sizes (landscape only) - The sizes of the tables are different based on devices. Meaning that if iPad and Moby M100 are used at the same time, the sizes of the tables will be different depending on which device you will be using. We highly recommend sticking to one device when using a table layout for a better experience.
We are planning to make table sizes more universal in the near future. However, right now we are limited because of the differences between iOS and Android devices.
Default View - There is a different default view between Landscape and Portrait devices
Landscape: After selecting a room in Table Layout, the default view will be set to "All Tables." Portrait: After selecting a room in Table Layout, the default view will be set to "My Tables."
There is a toggle at the top of the screen in which the user can differentiate "All Tables" to "My Tables."
