Details on Charging the Datec Bluepad 50
This section will provide a step by step guide in charging the Datec Bluepad 50.
Step 1: Ensure the Datec Bluepad 50 is charged before attempting the setup.
Step 2: Do not charge the Datec Bluepad 50 via USB Port on a PC/Laptop, etc.
Step 3: The Datec Bluepad 50 will come with only a charging cable, No power adapter.
Step 4: It should always be charged using the mains outlet.
Pairing the Datec Bluepad 50
This section will provide a step by step guide in pairing the Datec Bluepad 50.
Step 1: To begin, navigate to the Bluetooth Settings on the iPad and make sure it is turned ON.
Step 2: Switch ON the Datecs PIN Pad by holding down the power button.
Step 3: Put the PIN Pad into pairing mode by rapidly pressing the following buttons in sequence: (Cancel > Back > OK (Red > Yellow > Green)
Step 4: When the PIN Pad asks for permission to enter pairing mode, Press OK
Step 5: Once you have entered pairing mode, the Datecs will show it’s Bluetooth device name. Usually this will appear as “DBPxxxxxxxx"
Step 6: In the Bluetooth, you should see the same name “DBPxxxxxxxx” appear in the Other Devices section.
Step 7: Tap on the Device Name, confirm the pairing and the reader should change to Connected.
NOTE: In some cases the Datecs will return to a “Not Connected” state. If this happens, simply tap on it again to reconnect.
