Step by Step Instructions
First, make sure Bluetooth is in the turned ON position from your iPhone settings. Below is a quick step-by-step on how to enable your iPhone Bluetooth setting.
Enable iPhone Bluetooth Settings:
- Step 1: Sign In to your iPhone
- Step 2: Go to Settings
- Step 3: Select Bluetooth, Next you ensure the Bluetooth setting is toggled to the ON position. Once this is completed you can then continue to pair your Moby/5500 to talech Mobile.
talech Mobile Pairing Settings:
- Step 1: Log into talech Mobile
- Step 2: Select Settings
- Step 3: Choose the Plus symbol
on the bottom right. Choose the Card Reader that is relevant for you.

How to Pair your talech Mobile to Moby/5500
Step 1: Ensure your Moby/5500 is fully charged before proceeding to pair your Card Reader. Next, turn on the Moby/5500 Press and Hold the Black Power button until a Red light appears next to the power button.
Step 2: You should now see a Blue Light blinking next to the Red Power Light.
Step 3: Confirm Bluetooth pairing request
Important: Confirm the device has paired successfully from your iPhone Bluetooth settings.

Follow the instructions below to troubleshoot Bluetooth Connection.
Solution 1:
- Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled
- Force close ALL Applications
- Restart the Moby 5500 Card Reader
- Run talech and retry pairing steps
Solution 2:
- Force close ALL Applications
- Turn Bluetooth off "wait 10 seconds" turn Bluetooth back on
- Turn talech app and restart pairing steps
Solution 3:
- Force close ALL Applications
- Restart Network Settings "Make sure to know your Network Password before resetting"
- Connect back to Wi-Fi
- Turn talech app and restart pairing steps
Solution 4: Email talech Support at support@talech.com
Moby 5500 Error " Operation could not be completed".
If you are receiving this error message after getting the Moby/5500 paired follow the steps below.
Step 1: Store logout of talech App
Step 2: Forget the device from the Bluetooth Settings
Note: It should NOT be connected there, but still check to see if it is.
Step 3: Turn off Bluetooth in the iOS Settings
Step 4: Settings from iOS > General > About > Name > change the phone name to something completely unique
Step 5: Force close all Apps
Step 6: Go back into Bluetooth > turn it on
Step 7: Store login to talech app
Step 8: Ensure the Moby/5500 is in pairing mode (blue light will be flashing)
Step 9: Follow normal steps to connect in the app
