Introduction: This article will guide you through the setup process to link your Moby/5500 to your talech Register. Before you begin ensure you review the Important Requirements below to ensuring eligibility.

- Converge for your Gateway / Elavon as your Processor
- US Region Only at this time.
- iOS Platform Only at this time
Instructions below on How to Pair Moby/5500 to talech Register.
How to Enable Bluetooth Settings:
Step 1: From your iPad go to Settings
Step 2: Ensure Bluetooth toggled to the ON position. Once this is completed you can then continue to pair your Moby/5500 to talech Register.
How to pair Moby/5500 in Pairing Mode:
Step 1: Ensure your Moby/5500 is fully charged before proceeding to pair your Card Reader. Next, turn on the Moby/5500 Press and Hold the Black Power button until a Red Light appears next to the Power button.
Step 2: You should now see a Blue Light blinking next to the Red Power Light.
Now that the Moby/5500 is in Pairing Mode follow these next instructions from your talech register.
How to pair Moby/5500 to talech Register:
Step 1: Go to Dashboard
Step 2: Select Back Office
Step 3: Settings > Card Reader > Select Moby5500
Step 4: Tap on Pairing instructions and swipe left for instructions
Step 5: Confirm Bluetooth Pairing request by matching the 8 digits Serial Number found on the back of the Moby/5500. Then Press and Release the Power button immediately after. When your ready tap Start Pairing
Note: It will spin for about 20 seconds and provide you an on-screen pairing request. Confirm the number, once it is confirmed, it will connect after 10-15 seconds.
Step 6: Test Payment.
Important to Know:
The Moby/5500 does Power OFF within 5 - 10 minutes if the iPad's screen is turned OFF. The Moby/5500 card reader will not automatically turn ON after it turns OFF.
If you need to make a payment, manually turn ON the Reader then Start a payment. It's possible that the Reader does NOT Power OFF if it's constantly plugged in, this may be a behavior when it's running on battery.
