To set up the Advance Cradle for Printing on talech you will need to insert the Poynt 5 terminal into the advance cradle. It will automatically detect the cradle and will be ready to print straight away.
If Poynt 5 does not detect complete the following steps to check that the printer is showing up under Customer Receipt Printer.
talech register on Poynt > Back Office > Settings > Printers = "talech Station"
Check if “talech Station” is showing up under the Customer Receipt Printer section.
Note, it will not show up under the available printers list.
If the Printer is NOT showing up as "talech Station", please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Step 1: Ensure you have a Green Light on the Poynt terminal when seated in the advanced cradle, if you don’t please charge the Poynt 5 using the docking station.
Step 2: Remove the Poynt terminal from the advanced cradle and reseat the device then test.
Step 3: Restart the Poynt terminal by taking it out of the advance cradle and powering it off using the side power key. Reinsert the Poynt 5 device securely and test again.
Tip: Not using the Printer will provide an extra 8 hours of battery life.
